Tiverton
Tiverton is a town of some 17000 people, lying 15 miles north of Exeter. The town grew, from as early as the 13th century, as a textile centre and market town. Many textile mills and factories still form the basis of the town's industry. The pink sandstone castle dates from the 12th Century and the town has an interesting folk museum, with many old railway exhibits.
