Crewkerne
Crewkerne is a small market town in
Somerset, situated ten miles south west of Yeovil, with a population of
around 5000. The town dates back to Roman times and minted its own coins
in Saxon times. Later, it gained a reputation for sail-making. The sails
for Nelson's flagship Victory were made here. Today, the town relies for
employment on a variety of more modern industries.
